Madeira Island

Madeira’s archipelago consists of Madeira Island, Porto Santo Island, Desertas Islands and Selvagens Islands. Madeira and Porto Santo islands are the only ones, populated and that we’re able to freely explore it, since Desertas and Selvagens are Reserves and need special authorization.
Our archipelago lays in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean and has an enviable weather, with temperatures varying between 17ºC and 25ºC, and water temperature, between 18ºC and 22ºC. This is why Madeira is called Atlantic Pearl! A padise where you can enjoy a walk on the mountains or, swim in the warm water, at any time of the year. Madeira Island is also, one of the best places in the world, for us to behold the whales that naturally inhabit our sea.
